This policy explains what Maritime Compensation Index collects, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

Information collected

We collect anonymous compensation submissions and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the platform.

We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers through the submission flow.

Anonymous compensation submissions

Submissions are designed to be anonymous. Users are asked not to include personal identifiers or confidential company materials.

Approved submissions are aggregated for benchmark and platform analytics.

Analytics and cookies

We may use limited analytics or platform telemetry to understand usage and keep the service reliable.

If cookies or similar technologies are used, they are limited to necessary functionality or measurement that supports the site.

Data retention

We retain anonymous submissions and related aggregate data for as long as needed to maintain the public benchmarks and platform history.

We may remove or suppress data when required for privacy, accuracy, or moderation reasons.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect the platform and its data.

Third-party services

The platform is hosted and deployed using Vercel and uses Supabase for data storage and public analytics.

These providers process data according to their own service terms and privacy policies.

User rights

Because submissions are anonymous, we may not be able to identify or retrieve a specific submission on request.
